SCENIC WONDERS OF WESTLAND

The scenic wonders of Westland and the beauties of the many walks and climbs in the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier regions are pictured in a collection of lantern slides which will be shown by Captain J. C. Mercer, of Air Travel (New Zealand), Ltd., and Mr M. C. Lysons, a guide at the Franz Josef Glacier, at the rooms of the Automobile Association, Canterbury, to-morrow evening at 8 o'clock. Mr Mercer's views, which are from the air, show the picturesque, unexplored regions of South Westland, and illustrate the ways in which the working of the air service benefits settlers in the more isolated districts. These slides of mountains, lakes, rivers, forests, and glaciers—the wonderland of New Zealand—are each accompanied by a brief description.
