PIGEON FLYING
POULTRY CLUB'S JUNIOR
SHOW RACE The junior pigeon race conducted annually by the Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club, was this year flown from Oamaru. All arrangements for the race were in the hands of the convener Mr F. Ockwell. The birds were liberated at 10 a.m. in a very strong southed? wind, which was responslb e for most exceptional velocities. The winning bird owned by Master Keith Robinson, flew the distance in 2 hours 28 minutes 4 seconds.
