MARSHLAND LADIES’ GUILD

The annual meeting of St. Mark’s Ladies’ Guild was held recently, Canon H.O.T.Hanby presiding. Others present were Mesdames Lange, sen., W. Watson, T. Morton, E, Treleaven, L. Wilson, Misses M. Morton, and R. Wilson. The annual report and balance-sheet were presented and adopted, there being a satisfactory balance. Canon Hanby expressed thanks to the guild for its efforts in raising funds to assist the vestry. ' The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs Lange, sen.; vice-pre-sident, Mrs W. Watson; secretary and treasurer, Mrs L, Wilson; buyers, Mesdames Wilson and Treleaven; auditor, Mr W. Hassell. , Card Party The school committee held its first card evening for the season on Tuesday, there being a good attendance. The prizes were won by Mrs H. Hibbard and Mr Skelton, with Mrs Gooder and Mr Sydney .Watson second.
