NATIONAL GALLERY GAINS VALUABLE PICTURES
(BRITISH OrMCIAL WIRELESS.? March 30, 8.32 p.m.) RUGBY, March 28. An important acquisition by the National Gallery, the portrait of Madame Montessier by Ingres, was on view for the first time to-day. This is the third valuable addition to the collection in the last 12 months, others being Constable's "Hadleigh Castle" and a Rubens landscape.
