WADE DISQUALIFIED IN BOUT WITH RAYNER
(PBISS ASSOCIATION TZMOBAM.) BLENHEIM. March 28. A schedule 10-rounds boxing bout between Clarrie Rayner (Blenheim) and Ginger Wade (Nelson) lasted less than 20 seconds. Wade was disqualified for hitting low. At catch-weights, the pair started promisingly, Rayner scored smartly, but Wade’s first rmnch to land was a left rip in a forbidden .area. Rayner was incapacitated.

Bobby Clements, the .Australian flyweight boxing champion, died after a stirring encounter with Tiger Donnelly 1 at the Brisbane Stadium last night. Clements, who was defending his title, seemed to be winning, but he weakened considerably in the eighth roundBoth men engaged in a willing twohanded mill in the eleventh round, when Clements suddenly dropped to the canvas and could not be revived. He died within a few minutes of arrival at hospital. It is believed that a cerebral haemorrhage was the cause.
