ANNUAL SPORTS MEETING SEVENTEEN DISTRICTS COMPETE A large gathering of children from Banks Peninsula Schools attended the second annual sports- meeting at the Awa-ltl Domain, Little River. The weather was overcast, and drizzling rain fell at intervals in the morning, but cleared In the afternoon. Eighteen schools were represented, and a large number of entries was received for each of the events. The teachers acted as officials. The schools represented were Akaroa Convent (A.C.), Takamatua (T,), Akaroa (Ak.), Little River (LB.), Pigeon Bay (P. 8.), Barry's Bay (BJB.), Duvauchelle Bay (P. 8.), Puaha (P.), Chorlton (C.), Kukupa (K.), Okutl Valley (0.V.), Native (N,), Okain’s Bay (OB.). Little Akaloa (L.A.), Robinson’s Bay (R. 8.), Wainul (W.). Birding’s Flat‘(B.F.), Holmes Bay (H. 8.). Mr W. H. Montgomery, chairman of the Awa-iti Domain Board, addressed the children.
