UNITED CLUB
MISS BISHOP WINS CHAMPIONSHIP
In the final of the women’s singles championship at the United Club, played yesterday afternoon, Miss N. Bishop defeats Miss E. Runkin, 6-1. 6-3 in a very interesting game. The match was much closer than the scores would appear to indicate, but Miss Bishop was a little more accurate in the hard driving exchanges. The slow and heavy court also appeared to handicap her less than it did Miss RUdkin.
