MIGRATION OF GERMAN JEWS
! —• — FUND OF £3,000,000 BEING RAISED (Received March 13, 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 13, A fund of £3,000,000 is beinff raised by the Council for German Jewry, to finance a scheme for the emigration of Jews from Germany at the rate of 20,000 to 25,000 a year in the next four or five years. Leaders of American Jewry have undertaken responsibility for twothirds of the amount. It is desired to raise £l,ooo*ooo in Britain, half of which is already, in sight. Sir Herbert Samuel and' Lord Bearsted have appealed : io the Anglo-Jewish community for the remainder.
