TO THE EDITOR OF THK PEESB. Sir, —Recently an exhausted carrier pigeon arrived at Mason's Bay on the West Coast of Stewart's Island and took refuge in a woolshed. It greedily drank water but would not take food..lfc was very thin and died next day. The rjng on its foot had the numbers 35-1-38, N.Z., but no message was attached. As it,would be interesting to know from, where it originated, I am sendingr you these particulars so. that anyone interested in carrier pigeons might'be able to state from' where it was liberated, and communicate with you or myself,—Yours, etc..
