THE MAORI LANGUAGE

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS.

.Sir,—l must correct Peter Trolove for saying that.l corrected him. I merely disagreed with him. As for substituting "Corriedale" for "useful mongrel," I do not see much difference I am genuinely sorry that Mr Trolove has got into trouble, and 1 hope he will never suffer the horrible punishment proposed for him. To have the "Hound of Heaven" yelped at him from snout to tail tip would be too bad for.the most hardened, wretch, let alone one who is always out to do us good, and who would never willingly harm any of us. I hope Teoti Pawhati Paiki will reconsider it,' and by the way, if he loves the Irish and wishes his love to bereturned, let him keep quiet about that.lrish jig at the Battle of the Boyne.~Yours, etc., March 12, 1936.
