As this work includes caretaxer of the school swimming bath, it is most desirable that the successful applicant shall be efficient in swimming and life-saving, and should have a general knowledge of first aid. i j j Education Department has included’in the syllabus for teachers two of these subjects. The third, which IS very important, might have been included, as all three are requh'ed to complete the job. Most teachers have had training in the latter subject. As teachers are required to possess tnose qualifications, it is imperative that a caretaker should. I am not an applicant.—Yours, etc.,
