* A meeting of the committee of the Cholmondeley Memorial Children’s Home was held at Mrs J. C. Pairman s home, those present being Mrs Derisley Wood in the chair, Mesdames J. C. Pairman, J. Haling, D. Hoare, W. Chrystall, G. Way, and C. H. Wagstafit, honorary secretary. A letter was received from Messrs Collins and West, stating that the drainage work at the home was completed and had been passed by the health inspector. ....... The matron’s report showed that there were very few children in the home at present, but the usual large number was expected at Christmas, and arrangements for this number were well in hand.
