LARGE GOLD DREDGE FOR KANIERI
COST TO BE £205,000 (BPXCIU. 10 TE* i"BEBS.) HOKITIKA, December 3. It is understood that the cost of a new dredge to be? operated by Alluvial Tin', Ltd.. near Kanieri, will be £205,000, and that when constructed it will be the largest gold dredge in the world. It will be some time yet before the work of constructing the dredge is begun.
More than 19 years after he was wounded in the Battle of the; Somme, Harry Edgar Wakeford, aged 49, of Hawthorne road, Carshalton, Surrey, died from" the effects of a German , shrapnel bullet, which lodged in a i lung. "Death from war wounds" was .the Inquest- verdict.
