AMBULANCE CADETS

ANNUAL INSPECTION BY CHIEF COMMISSIONER

The annual inspection of the ambulance and nursing cadets of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was carried out the headquarters, Peterborough street, last evening by Lieutenant-Colonel G. Barclay, 0.8. E., V.D., Chief Commissioner of the St. John Ambulance Brigade in New Zealand, and a KnigW of Justice of the Order of St: John. There were 320 cadets on parade and they gave demonstrations of resuscitation, promotion of warmth and circulation, stretcher and company drill, first-aid tests, roller bandaging and bed-making. Colonel Barclay judged the cadet divisions on parade and awarded the Thompson Club as follows: Division. Points. Y.M.C.A.
