COUNCIL EXTENDS ACTIVITIES ▼ REMARKABLE RESULTS An interesting report from the Electricity Committee came before the City Council at its last meeting. The report indicated that the total sales to date under the M.E.D. range sales campaign, authorised on 20th November last for a period of one year, have reached 1570. The sales for October alone were 178 ranges. In view of these excellent results, and believing that a need is still being met, the City Council has decided to extend the special concessions until the 31st March, 1Q36. For many homes Christmas, 1935, will thus be marked by one of these domestic transformations often approached with misgiving but ever afterwards remembered gratefully. A room redeemed and the cooking revolutionised can demonstrate that an old home made modern may be more loved than a new one. —6
