BOROUGH COUNCIL EMPLOYEE HONOURED

Mr T. Prebble, who is leaving the Sumner Borough Council's gas and electrical department, was presented with a travelling ru/r recently by his fellow workers. The Mayor of Sumner (Mr T. Newburgh), in making the presentation for the office staff and the staff of the gas and electrical department, wished Mr Prebble the best of luck in his new sphere. . , Other speakers were the town clerk (Mr J. F. Menzles) and the gas and electrical engineer (Mr A. A. Cheshire). Mr Prebble thanked his co-workers for their gift, which, he said, would remind him of his many pleasant associations with the borough.
