FAREWELL SOCIAL AT ASHBURTON
Mr tt. C. Hynam, who has been attached to the staff of Dalgety and Company for six years, and who will leave this morning on promotion to the firm's Wairoa branch, was given a farewell social by representatives of the firm's clients and staff at Ashburton last evening. Mr T. Stringer, the manager, presided. On behalf of those present, Mr. Stringer presented Mr Hynam with a gold wrist watch, saying that they regretted his departure from Ashburton, but congratulated him on his promotion. Mr Hynam had been an energetic member of the staff, and by his integrity, pleasing personality, and interest in the business had made many friends among the firm's clients. L JSptr* X, J, Lsmoo, M. G. W. Ross, P. M. McLay, A. S. Rowell, and G. M. Heasley also spoke. Mr Hynam suitably replied. . Mr Hynam, who was a prominent member of the Ashburton Cricket Club, was presented with a poeket wallet by Mr J. H. Browne (club eff>* tain) on behalf of the members of tne club.
