M'CONACHY DEFEATS LINDRUM (FBESS ASSOCUTTOH TSLEORAM.) AUCKLAND, September 1,3. The last day's play in the professional billiards contest saw Clark McConachy strike consistent form to reduce his deficit and win by 704 points. The scores were: McConachy 12,327, Lindrum 11,623. McConachy assumed the lead during the afternoon session with a number of breaks near the 200 mark, and drew away steadily in*the evening's play to make victory sure. McConachy produced a wide variety of shots, but Lindrum gave a poor display, passing 100 only three times during the day.
