NEW BRIGHTON BEAUTIFYING ASSOCIATION

—<©>.—— . At a meeting of the New Brighton Home Gardens Competition and Beautifying Association, held in the District High School last evening, Mr J. S. Ainsworth (vice-president) presided. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mr O. C. White in the death of his son, members standing in silence. The meeting decided to assist at the tifying Association, held in the District High School. Mr E W. Chadwick offered to stage 50 vase 3 of flowers. It was decided to hold the annual meeting tn the schoolroom on Wednesday, August 28. After discussing whether their should be one or two judgings in the gardens competition, it was resolved that the decision be left until the annual meeting.
