HOSPITAL BOARD FINANCES
■' "We are getting very much on the wrong side," said Mr L. B. Evans, chairman of the finance committee of tjhe North Canterbury Hospital Board, drawing the attention of the board to discrepancies between the estimated and the actual expenditure and receipts for the quarter ended June 30, 1935, at a meeting of the board yesterday. Members had before them a statement of the board's estimates for the current year. Mr Evans said that he; did not wish to appear to be always "groaning," but that he wished <0 point out that £640 10s more than the proportional estimate for the quarter had been expended, and that there was a shortage of receipts, on the same basis, £971 7s 4d. There was no discussion.
