TO THE POLE BY SUBMARINE
PLAN'S OF SIR HUBERT WILKINS LADY WILKINS WILL BE EXPEDITION'S COOK (Received June 23, 10.10 p.m.) LONDON, June 28. The Oslo correspondent of "The Times" says that Sir Hubert and Lady Wilkins have arrived there on their way to England. Sir Hubert is recruiting for the Wyatt Earp expedition next winter, and will further discuss his polar submarine expedition, for which he will undertake a trial trip in 1936. The actual voyage, with Lady Wilkins as cook, will be made in 1937. Sir Hubert said the submarine would travel 16 hours under water out of the 24 It would start from Spitsbergen or Eehring Straits, and attempt to arrive in America via the Pole.—-"The Times r ' Cable.
