"THE CREAKING CHAIR" AT ST. JAMES' Commencing at a matinee to-day at 2.30 p.m.. the mysterious thriller comedy, "The Creaking Chair," considered one of the best mystery plays ever written, will be staged by the Nellie Bramley Company at St. James' Theatre. For many months the public has been given a series of mystery dramas of a baffling type, such as "The Ringer" and "The Terror," proving the popularity of this type of play. This is the theme of "The Creaking Chair," and there are sensations throughout the play. Even the detectives who investigate the crime fall under suspicion. Though thrilling, it has any amount of comedy running through the three acts, ind it should comipand more than the average interest. The production will be on a lavish scale, with some excellent effects, especially the storm scene. The company are well cast in their respective characters, and the public are promised an exciting climax. Box plans are now open at the D.J.C. or the theatre, telephone 35-820, while day sales are obtainable at Knight's Milk Bar.
