CHARGE OF HERESY IN VICTORIA
ADJOUR N M K'N T (-»RANT K D (Received June 27, 12.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, June 2C. The- charge of heresy against the Eev. If. E. Hayes, Anglican priest of Mernda, was adjourned until December. His counsel declared that the inental and physical condition of Mr Hayes was very grave. He contemplated a trip to England. The commission granted the adjournment on condition that Mr Hayes refrained from selling pamphlets and other literature concerning Church doctrines, and also refrained from interviewing the Archbishop bourne, who is now in England.
