LODGE MEETINGS
The chief ruler. Sister M. Anstiss, presided over a good attendance of members at the fortnightly meeting of Pride of Christchurch Tent. 1.0. R. An apology was received from supporter Bro. W. D. Bunt. One new candidate was initiated and cordially welcomed by the chief ruler. Sick stewards reports were received and sick pay passed for payment. Juvenile superintendents' reports given by Bros. J. Proven and T. Nuttall shovved that five juveniles had been initialed into the juvenile tents. Bro. J. Jackson reported that the provincial council had met and that arrangements were being made for the centenary of the Rechabite Order in August Bro. H. Baitjier repotted that the Richmond Tent would soon be opening a juvenile tent in the Richmond district. Reports were received and the delegates thanked. The members were reminded of the tent's fifty eighth anniversary which will be held in tlie Caledonian Hall on Thursday, July 4. After the business of the evening a concert party, arranged by Sisters Whittmg and Owen, and under the leadership of Mr Tom Robson, entertained the members Bro. C. H. Bascand passed a vote of thanks to the artists for their splendid items. The chief ruler. Bro. F. Cox, presidedi over the fortnightly meeting of the Tawera Juvenile Tent, held in the St. Philip's sc! >o!room Fisher street. Two new members were initiated and cordially welcomed by the chief ruler An apology was received from supporter Bro. H. Filer. Bro. Cos reported that an enjoyable evening had been spent at the Linwood Juvenile Tent at its last meeting. Oames and items were enjoyed after tru meeting. The N.G., Bro. Mason, presided over a fair attendance of members of the Loyal City of Christchurch Lodge. After a long discussion on ritual competitions a motion was passed that the lodge withdraw its entrv from th' efficiency competition. N.G. Bro. Mason reported visitinp the Wairewa Lodge with a number of members of . '°use and thr Sister Pearce Lodge.
