FINAL PERFORMANCE OF "SALLY". Jerome Kern's bright and up-to-date musical comedy "Sally," which eon : eluded a successful season in Christchurch last week, will be presented at St. James' Theatre for a final performance to-night. The cast is a strong one, and is headed by Irene Stone, who, as Sally, has a part which suits her admirably. Alfred Haigli. as would be expected after understudying Gus Bluett and Arthur Stigant during the last five years, brings all his comedy experience successfully into the part of Connie, while Carl Morris returns to comedy after his very successful appearance as Gaspard in "Les Cloches de Corneville." The good work of Molly Fowler. Phyllis Wilkinson, and Reg. Lamb is well known in Christchurch; they appear as Rosie. Mrs Ten Brock, and Pops. Shendorff. Ken Barron is a newcomer and brings with him the reputation of being a manly hero. Phillip WynneYorke's voice is often heard over the air. The elderly parts of Richard Farquar and Admiral Travers are in the safe keeping of Huthwaito Ronaldson and Harry Instone. Specialty dancers who are associated with Irene Stone are Rene Pedder, Billy Mills, and Charlie Birchfield. The presentation is accompanied by a full orchestra, under the direction of Mr Ernest Jamieson. Miss Irene Stone has arranged the ballets and the inoidental dances, and Mr Harison Cook has full charge of the production. The box plan is now open at the D.1.C., and day sales may be obtained at the theatre sweet shop and Knight's milk bar.
