GOLF A Stableford match, played at the Charted:; Bay golf links on Monday was won by 11. Derbidgc with a net score of 35. C. Pascoe was runner-up with 30 net, and J. Stanley, H. Fletcher, D. R. Wallace, and K. Crawford each returned net scores of 29. The women's Stableford match was won by Miss N. Neville. King's Jubilee Arrangements for the celebration in Lyttelton oi the silver jubilee of the King's accession to the throne are well in hand, and it is anticipated that the events arranged will attract much attention. Among the events will be a regatta and a procession through the streets. Local Elections Mr F. E. Sutton has been nominated as a candidate for the mayoralty of Lyttelton at the forthcoming elections, and also as a candidate to represent the combined districts (Akaroa, Peninsula Bays, Lyttelton, Sumner, and New Brighton) on the Lyttelton Harbour Board. Mr Sutton was Mayor of Lyttelton from 1925 to 1929 and from 1931 to 1933, and has represented the combined districts on the Harbour Board for the last six years. T YTTELTON FERRY LAUNCHES, LTD. W. C.
