♦ VACANCIES IN OFFICES FILLED At recent meetings of the committee of the Royal Christchurch Musical Society, vacancies in the offices of treasurer and librarian, for which no nominations were received "at the annual meeting, have been filled by the appointment of Miss R. E. Broughton as treasurer, and Mrs Hollingum as librarian. Mr R. C. Stone, who was appointed to fill the vacancy on the committee caused by the appointment of Miss Broughton as treasurer, has unanimously been appointed chairman of the committee. It has been decided to reduce the rates of subscription as follows; Two tickets for each of three concerts, 10s 6d; three tickets, 15s 6d; and four tickets, £1 Is, in place of 14s, £1 Is. and £1 8s previously. The first concert of the season will be held on April 30 in the Civic Theatre, when the first two parts of Hiawatha, The Wedding Feast, and the Death of Minehaha, will be presented, and items will be given by the soloists in the work.
