DAM-AGES AWARDED

(PKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.} GISBORNE, February 20. A sequel to a motor accident last October, in which a cyclist, Albert Victor Singe, was knocked down by a light lorry driven by Edward Martin, was heard in the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr Justice Smith, when the plaintiff claimed £897 10s damages. Negligence on the part of the driver was admitted, and the only question was that of the damages. After medical evidence had been heard, the jury awarded the plaintiff £SOO general damages, £7O special damages, and costs.
