AUSTRALASIAN COLLEGE OF SURGEONS
o CONFERENCE AT MELBOURNE A conference of the Royal Australasian College of. Surgeons will open in Melbourne on March 4. and will continue until March 9. The object of the conference, which will be international in character, is to bring together surgeons of different countries at the opening of the new building to house the offices of the college by Sir Holburt Waring, F.R.C.S., president of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Representatives will attend from England. Scotland, South Africa, America, and New Zealand, including among other prominent surgeons, Dr. Donald C. Balfour, of Mayo Clinic, America. Dr. John Fraser, professor of the Clinical Surgery at Edinburgh, and Dr. Henry Wade, one of the senior surgeons of the Edinburgh Royal Infirmarv. Each visiting surgeon from these countries will read a paper, and the Australian surgeons will give demonstration operations at various Melbourne hospitals during the conference. Clinical work demonstrations will also be given.
