PROTEST MEETING AT BELFAST

♦ CLOSING OF FREEZING WORKS At a mass meeting of employees of Messrs Thomas Borthwick and Sons, Belfast, yesterday afternoon, it was unanimously decided to telegraph the following protest to the Hon. Adam Hamilton, Minister for Labour: —"We, the seasonal workers employed by Borthwicks, strongly object to the treatment meted us by the Government in sorting out and closing down one works for a week, thus depriving approximately 260 men of a livelihood. Signed, Employees, Borthwicks, Belfast."
