TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRBSS. * sir '—How disappointed we residents of Christchurch are in the weak efforts of members of the Drainage Board to retain the weir in the Avon. Everyone is in favour of retaining the weir. The river has been improved and en J°yment has been given to children bathers all through the summer. what a weak showing the board iias made to keep this wonderful improvement!
