IBy the provincial secretary.] The rally for Lord and Lady BadenPowell will be held at the Show Grounds on Saturday, March 9. All rangers, guides, and brownies must be on the grounds at 1.30 p.m., and must bring mugs. There will be soft drinks, pies, buns, biscuits, and ices for sale. A rehearsal will be held at the Show Grounds on Saturday, March 2. All companies and packs must attend at 2 p.m. The brownie items for the rally are "The Trot Past," "Babes in the Wood," and "Grand Howl." All rangers must attend a practice of the "Flamborough Sword Dance," tc be held at the Jockey Club rooms' on Monday, February 18, at 7.30 p.m. All district captains have been asked to arrange a meeting of their district in the most suitable hall, as Miss Fox and Miss Maxwell wish to hear the songs to be sung at the rally. Music and words must be known, and those district captains who have not yet made arrangements are asked to do so immediately. All captains and brown owls are asked to inform their companies and packs that those who do not attend the various rehearsals will be unable to take part in the rally. A meeting of brown and tawny owls with six members of their pack will be held at Cranmer square next Tuesday, February 19, at 5 p.m., in uniform. Packs who wi:h to take part in the rally on March 9 must be represented. Each pack is requested to Bring the reins for one six, so that new packs will be able to get the proper idea of the "Trot Past." Important notices will also be given to the brown owls. Any pack who cannot attend must communicate with Miss Betty Ladd as soon as possible All packs must be at .the rehearsal to be held on the Show Grounds on Saturday, March 2, and must be on the grounds at 2 p.m. The South-East district will feel the ~ , r divisi onal commissioner (Miss O. Mcllraith), who has just sailed for a trip to England. All in the district wish her a happy holiday and look forward to her return. ' A Very Good Game "We wc-re fortunate in having a beautifully warm day in the late autumn for our game. We met at the house of one of the members of our company and were then conducted through the garden, down a lane, and into the park lent us for that afternoon. We then quickly, divided our company into three divisions, and drew up certain rules, which were strictly kept. We chose a plateau, and marked off about 50 square yards to enclose our would-be camp. Our division or patrol had charge of the camp, with orders to defend it at all costs. Another patrol was to attack and try to obtain possession of it and the third patrol had charge of the ambulance section. Rules for purposes of identification are as follows:—(1) Defenders of the camp to wear full uniform; (2) attackers to remove ties; (3) ambulance patrol to tie handkerchiefs round left arm; (4) officers to act as umpires wL aU tails t0 be left t0 P atl 'Ol leader*; (o) any guide touched between the ankle and knee with staff to count as wounded, and to cease to take part in the game; (6) the attackers to get a third of their number over the boundary to win; this half within an hour and a Before commencing the game each guide was given a slip of paper statuS ,]"?"
