BAND CONCERTS

The following programme will be played by the Christchurch Municipal Band on the Waltham rotunda on Wednesday, February 6:—March, "Mount Egmont" (Furnell), overture, "Martha" (Flotow); hymn, "Fierce Raged the Tempest" (Dykes); contest selection, "Gems of Wagner' (Rimmer); march, "The Challenge' (Culvert); humorous fantasy, "Three Blind Mice" (Douglas); waltz, "The Song Roumain" (Ivanouici); march, 'My Comrades" God Save the the Municipal Band has a concert on Wednesday, February 20, at Sydenham during the week the band hopes to be in Timaru attending the Dominion band contest, arrangements have been made with the conductor of the New Brighton Municipal Band to change places, and it will give a concert on Thursday, March 14, at the city rotunda. . The Woolslon Brass Band has offered to give a programme at the city rotunda on Sunday evening in place of the Christchurch Muncipal Band, a collection to be taken up and given to the Municipal Band s contest funds. ________________
