SAILING The Canterbury Yacht and Motor Boat Club will hold five races tomorrow afternoon, A., B„ X., and I. classes, and D. and Z. classes combined. Z class boats in the combined race will compete for the Moller Cup. Schools to Resume The Lyttelton District High School and the West Lyttelton School will resume on Tuesday next. Secondary pupils will be enrolled at the Lyttelton District High School on Monday morning. The annual picnic will be held at Templeton on Thursday. At a meeting of the committee of the West Lyttelton School 011 Tuesday night, it was decided to hold the annual picnic at Purau. Personal Members of the Canterbury Yacht and Motor-Boat Club waited last evening upon Mr and Mrs M. J. Scott, who were recently married, to wish them happiness. On behalf of the members, Mr C. E. Brown, commodore of the club, presented Mr and Mrs Scott with a canteen of cutlery. Railway Trucks in Short Supply With three overseas vessels and one coastal vessel discharging at Lyttelton yesterday, railway officials at Lyttelton were kept busy in averting a threatened shortage of trucks and tarpaulins. With the assistance of an extra engine from Linwood for shunting, and by working the shunters and engine crews longer hours, sufficient trucks were provided to keep all the vessels working. The shortage is a seasonal one, as at this time of the year a large number of trucks are in use on country lines. Cricket The following players have been selected to represent the Lyttelton Miniature Rifles Cricket Club in matches to-morrow: — A Team v. Opawa, at Woolston Park —A. Ward, 11. Wilson, E.
