COMET REACHES BELGIAN CONGO
WALLER'S FAST FLIGHT OVER SAHARA (Received December 23, 9.20 p.m.) LEOPOLDVILLE (Belgian Congo), December 23. Ken Waller and Captain Franchomme in their de Havilland Comet have arrived here. They had flown more than 4000 miles in 51 hours, including stops. From Oran to Nuamey, over the Sahara, they averaged 220 miles an hour.
