MORE BRITISH TROOPS REACH SAAR
ITALIANS ON THE WAY ur filial wireless.) RUGBY, December 20. A further party of British troops arrived in the Saar yesterday. The detachment comprised officers and 40 of the East Lancashire Regiment. A similar party of the Essex Regiment reached Saarbruckcn this morning and proceeded immediately to its quarters at Brebach and Grube-Heinitz. More than 100 Army Service Corps and Medical Corps personnel arrived by the same train and lemained in Saarbrucken. The troops received a most cordial welcome from the French civil and military authorities on the journey across France. They took breakfast as the guests of the French Army at Thionville. The main body of infantry composing the British part of the intetnational force will leave England to-morrow. They will be accoided an official reception on landing at Calais early in the afternoon. The Italian troops for the Saar were reviewed by Signor Mussolini in Rome yesterday. One battalion left in the evening.
