December (i, Further enquiries had been made about Ihe Auckland surest ion for the diversion of homeward vessels via the East so as to establish a shipping connexion, it was reported at to-day's meeting of the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. It appeared that there wore practical difficulties in the way, but the Overseas Shipowners' Committee was referring the matter to the shipping companies in London for further advice.
