RHODES SCHOLARSHIP

AWARDS TO BE MADE ON NOVEMBER 30 The selection of the two New Zealand Rhodes Scholars for 1935 will be made on November 30 at Wellington. The selection committee consists of the Governor-General, Lord Ble'disloe (in his private capacity), the Chief Justice of the Dominion, Sir Michael Myers, the Chancellor of the University of New Zealand, Professor J. Macmillan Brown, the chairman of the Academic Board, Dr. J. Hight, a representative of the business community, and two former Rhodes Scholars. . The committee will interview the nominees from the various colleges and will award scholarships if suitable candidates are found. The Canterbury College entrants, who were appointed by the Professorial Board after a students' ballot had been taken, are Messrs W. F. Monk and A. D. Benham.
