CANTERBURY MOUNTAINEERING CLUB

♦ The monthly meeting of the Canterbury Mountaineering Club was held in the club rooms, 221 Manchester street, last evening. Mr W. A. Kennedy presided. Lantern slides made from photographs taken in the Mount Cook and Mount Evans regions by Captain J. C. Mercer, were shown, and a talk on his mountaineering experiences was given by Canon H. E. Newton, of Harrogate, England, who is at present in New Zealand on holiday.
