SOCIAL AT MINA
A number of friends from Cheviot, Gore Bay, and Christchurch spent an enjoyable time at the residence of Mr and Mrs Marsden, Mina. Icelani poppies, forget-me-nots, anemones and blue flag lilies were used for decorations. The evening was spent in community singing, competitions, novelty games, and dancing. Mr Tom Kerr was master of ceremonies, and Miss Armstrong was pianist. Items were given by Mr and M)?s Marsden (duet), Mrs Fuller (song), Mr Askew (tap dance), Mrs Marsden (songs), Mr Fuller (mouth organ solos). The prize winners for the competitions were: Mrs Fuller, Misses P. Bowie and S. Honeybone. Messrs L. Walters and E. Marsden, H. Walters and C. Morrison. Those present included Mesdames 11. Marsden and Fuller, Misses Brewins, S. Armstrong, P. Bowie, C. Crawford, S. Honeybone, V. Ogden. and I. McKnight, Messrs H. E. Mar.sden, H. Chatterton. T. Kerr. Richards, J. Biddle, L. Walters, H. Walters, Fuller, C. Morrison, H. Honeybone, Askew, E. Crossen and C. Marsden. Mrs Fuller thanked Mr and Mrs Marsdon for their hospitality.
