AVOOLSTON-LINWOOD SUBBRANCH Mrs W. K. Lauchland presided at the monthly meeting of the WoolstonLinwood sub-branch of the Plunket Society. Others present were Mesdames D. Lingard, H. Ayers, F. A. Tooley. R. G. Douglas, C. G. Calvert, and A. Douglass. Donations were received from Mesdames Maroney, A. E. Turner, and Crockett. The committee decided to hold a jumble sale at the end of the month in the Hibernian Hall. Owing to ill-health, Mrs G. Basan was granted three months* leave of absence. Nurse Aitken reported that she would be away on holiday leave and Nurse Garland would be relieving nurse for Linwood. Nurse Herman's report for Woolston was as follows:—Visits to homes, 18 old cases and four new cases; visits to rooms, adults 49, babies 46. Nurse Garland reported that 93 adults and 87 babies had been attended at the Linwood rooms.
