A review of the duties on certain horticultural products originally imposed'in 1032 has been completed by the Import Duties Advisory Commi:tec. and the Treasury has issued an order for their continuance with slight modifications. The committee now states Iluu while there is still much to be done, the industrv as a whole hits responded well to the call made on it There is a- genera! consensus of evidence as lo the large increase in Home production and the advance made in marketing methods. From no quarter has if been suggested that prices generally have been affected to the detriment, 0.l the consumer. In these circumstances the committee sees no reason 1o recommend any reduction in the measure _of protection afforded by the existing duties.
