Customs and excise receipts, 'which during the current financial year have so far yielded £115,969,000 are more than £2,000,000 higher than at the corresponding date of 1933. Excluding self-balancing revenue, total ordinary revenue from all sources for the period April 1 to August 25 of the current year amounts to £228,416,413, as compared with £ 232,205,529 received by the Exchequer in the corresponding Period of 1933. Total ordinary expenditure date is £271,093,284. the comparative figure for last, vear being £268,816,156.
