CURE FOR MENTAL DISEASES
10 THE eciTOH 07 XEB PBE33. 1 Sir, —I am pleased to see that there 1 are others who are taking an interest { in the cure for mental disease dis- i covered at Cardiff Hospital. 2 Yesterday I took "D.P.'s" letter to a J person who once had the misfortune to be a patient at Sunnyside, when the j conditions were very bad indeed; that i is during the years of the Great War. j He was at the time of committal a < borderline case, but was thrown into ' such a state of despair through being j put amongst persons in an advanced j state of insanity that he became very ( much worse and took a long time to recover. He remarked upon perusing , "D.P.'s" letter, "Every word of it is j true." I have heard from various sources 5 that the conditions in regard to the , classification of patients have very 1 much improved of late years, but if the j contention of "D.P." regarding the ] lack of milk and eggs in the diet of 1 patients is correct, certainly there is \ great room for improvement there. j Dr. Telford remarks that if there is ( anything in the discovery of injections, the information will be passed on. Coming from such a source as the Cardiff Mental Hospital we have every ; reason to expect it to be authentic and we hope there will be no delay in finding out all about it.—Yours, etc., ENQUIKER. j August 29, 1934. j
