TO THE IDITO3 OF TUB PttE33. Sir, —As I have just been reading a letter signed "Cheerio 7 ' in reference to the Bledisloe Cup, I wish to bear out his remarks. My family ' were listening in to the first match that the Australians won (or had given to them) and we could not help noticing that when the Australians had a good chance of kicking a penalty goal they were generally given a free-kick and when the play was half-way, the All Blacks were given a kick to even ( things up a bit. Thi3 happened quite ; frequently and was very noticeable. , I do not think the All Blacks lost the \ first match or even made a draw of the , lost one, and they certainly are sports -■ to put up with what they were up , against.—Yours, etc., ; OLD REP. i August 28. 1934.
