"LIKE SWALLOWING HOT SAND"
—_ Community singing mny be good fun in a hall or around the campfire, but i in a crowded open motor-van with the [ air thick with dust the effect is far ! from pleasant. A party of Christchurch trampers realised this when returning home after a week-end in the hills. Monday morning found more than one of the party with a badly affected throat. One young man said his throat felt as if he hj: ' been swallowing hot sand. Fortunately iais particular chap was supplied with a few doses of Baxter's Lung Preserver by a sympathetic fellow employee and the trouble v/as soon overcome. "Baxter's" is just as wonderful for sore throats as for chest colds. "Baxter's" leaves a soothing, protective film over the delicate membranes and quickly allays inflammation and prevents irritation. To tne speaker, the singer, or the salesman who has to talk a lot, an occasional dose of "Baxter's" is an excellent preventive of huskiness ana throat soreness. "Baxter's" with its wonderful tonic properties is a proven friend to both young and old. Every home should make a practice of having a bottle of "Baxter's" handy. AH chemists and stores sell the three 4s 6d, 2s 6d, and Is 6d sizes. —1
