t MEETING OF ASSOCIATION [ The general monthly meeting of the i Christchurch Tomato and Stone-fruit - Growers' Association was held on Sat- - urday evening with Mr C. E. He also said that he ~ was not the president of the associai tion, but was only the president's deputy, and in that capacity he was " not prepared to accept the responsis bility of having the subject discussed in open meeting, e The discussion terminated when a " member gave notice of motoin that the Minister for Internal Affairs be l- requested not to proceed with the Tomato Growers' Registration Bill.
