I The registration o£ lomato growers ' was discussed, but a suggestion was made that the subject should be kept ' till a later meeting, when a fuller attendance might be mustered. The " chairman said that the matter was now before the House and he did not '. think that any good purpose could be ' served by reopening the discussion at so late a stage. He also said that he ~ was not the president of the associai tion, but was only the president's deputy, and in that capacity he was " not prepared to accept the responsis bility of having the subject discussed in open meeting, e The discussion terminated when a " member gave notice of motoin that the Minister for Internal Affairs be l- requested not to proceed with the Tomato Growers' Registration Bill.
