' The directors of East Coast Airway*have decided to place an order for two 10-passenger aeroplanes with the DcHavilland Company as soon as the company is granted a license. East Coast Airways. Ltd., intends io run passenger services between Napier and Gisborne, using De Havilland Dragon machines. These machines can be adapted to carry six, eight, or 10 passengers. The Dragon has two Gipsy Major engines, giving a cruising speed of 110 .miles an hour. The company hopes to convert the travelling time of eight hours by service car between the two places into one hour by aeroplane. Wing Commander S j Grant-Dalton, formerly Director of Air. Services- in New Zealand, is at I the head of the enterprise.
