CHRISTCHURCH MALE VOICE CHOIR
* -.- { The second concert of the Male Voice Choir for the 1934 season, to be given on Saturday evening next at the Choral Hall, under the direction of Dr. J. C. Bradshaw, should prove a most enjoyable one. The programme is a well varied one. Included in it are two choir numbers which have not been previously given in Chrlstchurch—one of John 'Fanner's madrigals (dated 1599) "Fair Phyllis I Saw" and a partsong by Corbett Sumsion "The Emigrant." The box plan, which opened at the D.I.C. on Tuesday morning, is already filling up well and subscribers and other supporters would be wise to waste no time in securing seats. The assisting artist on this occasion is Mrs Leslie Aitken (contralto), who is well | known under her maiden name. Miss Belle Renaut. The Cathedral chorisI tors are down for two numbers as well as taking part in others. The soloists from the choir will be Messrs D. H. Law (tenor), and Frank Olds I i bass), Miss Aileen Warren will be the accompanist.
