SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ORANGES
♦ 20,000 CASES FOR NEW ZEALAND [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, August 14. Ponding completion of the negotiations now taking place with Australia over the removal of the New Zealand citrus fruit embargo and the Commonwealth restrictions on potato imports, the Government has decided to allow the importation during September of 20,000 cases of South Australian oranges, of which 11,000 cases arc for the North Island and the remaindc for the South Island. It is anticipated that the importations to be made during the present month, plus the quantity to be imported next month, will meet fully local demands for oranges until the negotiations have been concluded.
